Nvidia Charts Course for AI Supremacy with Vera Rubin Platform
Nvidia, one of the biggest names in the artificial intelligence (AI) boom, has huge plans in its pipeline. The company's new chip platform, Vera Rubin, combines graphics processing units (GPUs), central processing units (CPUs), networking, storage, and software into a single AI platform.
Vera Rubin systems are designed for the next phase of AI -- sophisticated AI agents that can reason, use tools, and carry out tasks. These agents run 24-7 and require far more compute power to run than a single request.
Nvidia's push into complete AI infrastructure is also significant. The company is helping customers design entire AI factories rather than simply selling individual chips. Its DSX platform helps customers design, simulate, and operate these facilities, while Nvidia collaborates with data center, power, and infrastructure companies worldwide.
