Nvidia Credit Risk Eases Amid Clarification of Massive AI Financing Plan
Nvidia's bond traders breathed a sigh of relief on Tuesday after the company clarified its $500 billion plan to finance AI investments. According to Bloomberg, Nvidia said it would limit its exposure in the massive financing plan, aimed at fueling demand for its computer chips.
The move helped ease concerns about credit risk associated with Nvidia bonds. The yields on Nvidia's 5.625% bonds maturing in 2056 dropped by 2 basis points to 113 basis points above comparable Treasuries, while five-year credit default swaps narrowed by up to 5 basis points to 72.11 basis points a year, according to ICE Data Services.
