Nvidia Crushes Earnings, Boosts Tech Stocks Amid Fed Inflation Concerns
Nvidia's earnings report beat estimates, lifting tech hardware manufacturers and reviving investor confidence. The company's quarterly revenue more than doubled and forecast third-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates.
The AI chipmaker's shares jumped 4.7 per cent in after-hours trading, lifting S&P 500 e-mini futures by 0.4 per cent. Chris Weston, head of research at Pepperstone Group, said: 'The business is in absolutely rude health.'
South Korea's KOSPI rose 1.5 per cent, paring early gains after the Bank of Korea raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 3 per cent. Taiwanese shares rose 0.9 per cent.
