Nvidia Delivers Next-Gen Vera CPUs as Analysts Expect Strong Earnings
Nvidia's shares fell marginally in premarket trading on Tuesday after the company announced that it had delivered its latest-generation Vera CPU to several top AI firms. The Vera CPU is Nvidia's first custom Arm-based server CPU built specifically for AI data centers and replaces the Grace CPU.
The delivery of the Vera CPUs comes ahead of Nvidia's quarterly report on Wednesday, which could shape the direction of tech stocks and the broader AI trade. Analysts expect Nvidia's first-quarter revenue to rise 80% year over year to $79.23 billion, with adjusted profit rising 120% to $1.78 per share.
Nvidia unveiled the Vera Rubin architecture at its GTC event in San Jose last March, which encompasses the Vera CPU, Rubin GPU, NVLink networking, BlueField DPUs, and other infrastructure components. The company expects Vera Rubin systems to begin shipping in the second half of 2026.
