Nvidia Dominates AMD in Driver Bug Fixes
A recent report from PC Games Hardware analyzed driver bugs reported by Nvidia and AMD. The study found that Nvidia fixed 89 crashes compared to 40 for AMD, with a median wait time of just 12 days for Nvidia versus 35.5 days for AMD.
Nvidia also resolved approximately 74% of all reported issues within the first 30 days of discovery, while AMD's successful bug fix rate for the same period was 45%. The report classified errors into unique error families based on specific applications, APIs used, and affected graphics card families. Nvidia registered a greater number of error families with 106 issues compared to 65 for AMD.
