Nvidia Earnings Report: Will Stock Rise After August 26?
Nvidia is set to report its second-quarter earnings on August 26. The company has consistently beaten Wall Street expectations, but this doesn't necessarily mean its stock will rise after the announcement.
The GPU giant's guidance issued in May projected revenue of $91 billion, with a range of plus or minus 2%. If Nvidia hits this mark, it would reflect year-over-year revenue growth of approximately 95%.
Wall Street analysts are slightly more optimistic, expecting Nvidia to report revenue of $92.07 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $2.09 in the second quarter.
Nvidia's data center business is expected to drive most of its growth, with tremendous demand for graphics processing units (GPUs) to power artificial intelligence applications.
