Nvidia Employee Charged with Smuggling Advanced Chips to China

An Nvidia employee has been charged by the US Department of Justice with smuggling advanced chips into China. The accused is a former employee who allegedly sold the chips to a company in China for $1.5 million.

The charges, which include conspiracy and smuggling, were filed on March 10 in federal court in San Francisco.

Nvidia has acknowledged that one of its employees was involved in the scheme and has said it is cooperating with the investigation.
