Nvidia Eyes Potential Deal with Korean AI Chip Designer Rebellions
Nvidia is in early talks with Korean AI chip designer Rebellions about potential collaborations. The discussions, led by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, may include a technical partnership or even an acquisition of the six-year-old startup.
The talks took place at Nvidia's US headquarters in Santa Clara, California, and follow a string of investments made by Nvidia in recent years to maintain its central role in the AI era. These deals have included high-profile startups such as Groq, which Nvidia secured a nonexclusive license with in 2025.
Rebellions has raised around $850 million from investors including SK Hynix Inc., Samsung Ventures and Arm Holdings Plc, and was valued at approximately $2.3 billion last year. The company specializes in neural processing units for data centers optimized for AI inference work.
