Nvidia Eyes Potential Partnership with Korean Chip Designer Rebellions
Nvidia is considering a partnership or investment in Korean chip designer Rebellions, which specializes in neural processing units for data centers. The talks are preliminary and may not lead to a transaction.
Rebellions has already raised around $850 million from investors including SK Hynix, Samsung Ventures, and Arm Holdings, valuing the company at about $2.3 billion. It was founded in 2020 and is based in Bundang, South Korea.
Nvidia's interest in Rebellions signals a focus on AI inference workloads, which are becoming increasingly important as more companies adopt AI services at scale.
