Nvidia Investor Unfazed by AI Fears
A recent surge in AI-related headlines has not deterred one investor from accumulating more shares of Nvidia, the leading provider of high-performance computing solutions. Despite growing fears about AI's impact on the market, this individual sees the company's numbers as a clear indication that the fundamentals are pointing in the opposite direction.
Nvidia's Q2 fiscal 2027 results revealed revenue of $96.22 billion, a 105.85% year-over-year increase that exceeded consensus estimates by 4.51%. Non-GAAP EPS came in at 2.22, marking the fifth consecutive beat. The Data Center segment alone generated $89.02 billion, up 117%, with Networking within it rising 138%.
The investor cites Nvidia's robust margin structure as another reason for their continued accumulation of shares. Net margin sits at 55.60%, ROE at 101.5%, and ROIC at 92.2%. Debt-to-equity is a low 0.073, with interest coverage of 503x. This fortress-like financial profile allows Nvidia to print cash: $21.34 billion in free cash flow during Q2 and $96.58 billion across fiscal 2026.
The investor dismisses AMD and Broadcom as alternatives, noting that while they may ship credible GPUs and custom silicon, respectively, Nvidia is the only platform that runs every frontier model. Management has stated that competing custom XPUs are often inference-specific and tied to one cloud or service.
