Nvidia-Labeled Trailers Stolen in Brazen Heist

Thieves targeted an autonomous trucking company, PlusAI, and made off with two trailers, one of which was emblazoned with Nvidia's logo. The stolen haul? A whopping 40,000 pounds of sand.

The trailers were filled with sand to simulate cargo weight during test drives, according to Lauren Kwan, vice president of marketing at PlusAI. The company uses Nvidia chips in its self-driving systems.

Hours after the theft was discovered, a friend of a PlusAI employee spotted the trailers parked near another company's office, unaware they had been stolen.

Fremont Police later recovered the trailers with the help of Newark Police. The incident remains under investigation, and no one has been arrested yet.
