Nvidia Lands $1.5B AI Computing Deal for Ohio Campus
Nvidia has been chosen as the sole provider of AI computing infrastructure for SB Energy's PORTS-Pike technology campus in Ohio.
The facility will be designed around Nvidia's graphics processors, central processors, and networking equipment to support large-scale artificial intelligence workloads.
The initial phase is planned for 4.25 IT gigawatts of capacity, with an option to add another 3.75 IT gigawatts.
Nvidia plans to invest $1.5 billion in SB Energy and extend credit support connected to the land, electricity, and initial construction requirements.
SB Energy will develop and operate the site under a 20-year lease with OpenAI, which is expected to start using the first 800 megawatts in 2028.
