Nvidia Loses Ground as Intel Doubles GPU Market Share on Amazon
The latest Amazon GPU sales stats show that Intel has doubled its market share on the platform. The company's budget-friendly Arc GPUs have seen a significant increase in sales, with over 2,000 units sold in August compared to just 1,250 in July. This represents a 72% increase and marks a major shift in the market.
Nvidia, on the other hand, has seen its sales drop significantly due to inflated prices caused by memory shortages. The company's mainstream Blackwell cards have been particularly affected, with some models seeing a decline of over 76%. AMD's RX 9000 series GPUs have also faced similar issues, although the flagship RX 9070 XT has maintained its popularity.
The statistics are based on data from TechEpiphany and show that Nvidia still holds the top spot in terms of overall GPU unit sales. However, Intel's gains have put pressure on both Nvidia and AMD to address their pricing strategies and meet consumer demand for more affordable options.
