Nvidia Mulls $10 Billion Stake in Anthropic's Record-Breaking IPO
Nvidia is reportedly considering a significant investment in Anthropic's upcoming IPO. The chipmaker could invest up to $10 billion, which would make it an anchor investor and potentially deepen its ties with the AI company.
Anthropic is planning to raise as much as $100 billion in its listing, valuing the company at around $2 trillion. A $10 billion investment from Nvidia would be roughly half of 1% of Anthropic's valuation.
This move follows a previous agreement between Nvidia and Anthropic in November 2025, where Nvidia agreed to invest up to $10 billion in exchange for Anthropic committing to buy $30 billion in Azure computing capacity. The deal was tied to Nvidia-powered computing capacity.
Nvidia has also invested in other companies, including Arm Holdings, and has a significant portfolio of private stakes, which have risen sharply over the past year.
