Nvidia N1x/Spark Devices Delayed Again, Launch Date Remains Uncertain
Nvidia is expected to announce its N1x/Spark consumer devices soon. The company's CEO, Jensen, had previously stated that the chip was in full production back in June of 2024. However, it appears that those initial claims may have been premature.
The first batch of workstation-ish parts was released about a year ago, but they required extensive patching to become stable. SemiAccurate's sources claim that these patches only masked underlying problems, which were documented exclusively by the publication.
At Computex 2026, Jensen announced that the devices would be launched, contradicting earlier claims from SemiAccurate that it would happen in Q4 of this year. As of now, day two of Q4 has passed with no signs of these devices being available for sale, suggesting that one of them was correct.
When asked about the release date and quantities, SemiAccurate's sources hinted at a low initial supply, similar to past instances where Nvidia used 'unreasonably high demand' as an excuse. The publication is speculating on when the press will receive their briefings, when embargos will lift, and when these devices will actually go on sale.
