Nvidia Partner Seeks $300M Loan for Thai Chip Facility
GMI Cloud, a US-based data center operator and partner of Nvidia Corp., is seeking a $300 million loan to purchase chips for its facility in Thailand. The company has approached banks and private credit funds for the financing, according to people familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified as the discussions are private.
The proposed deal would offer yields in the low-teens, said the sources. GMI Cloud is looking to expand its operations in Asia, and this loan would likely contribute to that effort.
