Nvidia has partnered with Amkor Technology in a $1.5 billion deal to expand domestic semiconductor supply chains and accelerate next-generation AI hardware development.

Under the terms of the agreement, Nvidia will provide a prepayment of $1.5 billion to support the expansion of Amkor's advanced packaging and testing infrastructure at its planned manufacturing facility in Arizona.

The partnership aims to improve supply chain resilience for critical computing hardware amid surging global demand for AI infrastructure.
