Nvidia is set to invest up to $3 billion in Lancium, the developer behind the Stargate data center campus in Texas. The chipmaker will initially invest $2 billion for a stake of roughly 20% in Lancium, which is backed by Blackstone.

Lancium's enterprise value is estimated at around $10 billion under the deal, with Nvidia holding the option to invest an additional $1 billion if certain thresholds are met. These include grid hookups and other milestones.

The investment is expected to help Lancium expand its operations as it explores a potential initial public offering in 2027.
