Nvidia has been in talks to acquire Hugging Face, an artificial intelligence platform, for over $13 billion. According to Business Insider, the two parties have had acquisition talks in recent weeks. This potential deal would value Hugging Face at more than $13 billion.

Hugging Face is a central hub for open-source AI models and has a massive library of machine learning models and community features. Nvidia has been ramping up its investments in the AI sector, committing $18 billion to equity investments for the remainder of the year.

This acquisition would mark the latest in Nvidia's spree of acquisitions in the AI sector. In June, the company acquired foundation model startup Kumo, and also acquired ShedMD, Illumex, and Groq over the past 12 months.
