Nvidia Reclaims Top Semiconductors Spot Amid Data-Center Constraints
Nvidia's stock price rose more than 1.5% in early Friday trading after Morgan Stanley reinstated it as its top semiconductor pick, retaining an Overweight rating and a $300 price target.
Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore sees data-center constraints becoming a key factor in AI infrastructure spending, favoring Nvidia due to limited access to electricity, land, and financing.
The analyst also pointed out that about half of Nvidia's business comes from buyers outside the biggest cloud providers and major AI laboratories, including enterprise customers, system manufacturers, and sovereign buyers.
