Nvidia has regained its position as the world's most valuable company, surpassing Apple after just four days. The shift in ranking occurred on July 31, when Nvidia closed at $200.75, a 2.93% increase from the previous day, with a market capitalization of $4.86 trillion.

Meanwhile, Apple's stock plummeted over 7%, closing at $308.91 and dropping its market cap to $4.54 trillion. This reversal comes just four days after Apple surpassed Nvidia for the first time in about 15 months.

The decline in Apple's stock price can be attributed to its earnings report, which revealed limited revenue growth due to supply chain constraints and rising memory prices. The tech giant warned that iPhone price hikes could dampen consumer demand, leading to a sharp decline in its market value.

Nvidia's continued success is largely due to the strong earnings from Amazon and Microsoft, which fueled a broader market rally. Amazon's quarterly revenue surpassed $200 billion for the first time, driven by growth in its cloud business, while Microsoft reported a 43% year-over-year increase in its cloud segment revenue.

The market views these results as a significant alleviation of anxiety surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) investments. The strong performance from Amazon and Microsoft has revived expectations that expanding AI infrastructure can lead to actual earnings improvement.
