These third-party sellers, mostly based in Hong Kong, Canada, or the US, are taking advantage of artificially created demand fueled by rumors of AI server manufacturers buying GPUs. However, these claims may be unfounded, with some images used to justify the high prices appearing to be AI-generated.
The Nvidia RTX 5090's price increase raises questions about whether the market is being manipulated through engineered fear of missing out (FOMO).
