Nvidia RTX Spark Takes Aim at Apple's M6 Chip with Powerful Performance
Nvidia's RTX Spark SoC has been pitted against Apple's M6 chip in a comparison of their specs, performance, and pricing. The Nvidia RTX Spark is a new ARM-based SoC designed for small form factor PCs and laptops, while the Apple M6 is part of Apple's own line of ARM-based silicon.
According to the specifications, the Nvidia RTX Spark has several advantages over the Apple M6. It features nearly twice as many CPU cores on its premium configuration, four times the maximum memory headroom, and larger memory bandwidth. However, the Apple M6 has a slightly higher maximum clock frequency.
When it comes to performance, the Nvidia RTX Spark appears to have an edge in multi-core tasks, but lags behind in single-core performance. The Nvidia RTX Spark's GPU also outperforms the Apple M6's GPU in various benchmarks.
Nvidia's distinct advantage over Apple when it comes to AI hardware due to native CUDA processing cannot be understated. Apple's M6 might perform well, but it will not be able to keep up with an Nvidia GPU that has up to 128GB of available memory.
