Nvidia's market capitalization has been hovering around $4.77 trillion despite its impressive Q1 FY27 revenue growth of 85.2% year-over-year, reaching $81.61 billion. The company's Data Center revenue also surged 92%, driven by AI infrastructure expansion. However, shares have been underperforming, up only 2% year-to-date and trading at $190.01.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has been bullish about the future of AI, calling it 'the largest infrastructure expansion in human history.' To reclaim the $5 trillion mark, which would imply a share price of roughly $210, shares need to gain 10.5%. This is achievable, according to some analysts, as the base case predicts a price target of $252.45 within a year, with a bull case of $261.95 and a bear case of $220.95.

The company's upcoming earnings report on August 26 will be crucial in determining its future prospects. Three things need to hold: Blackwell Ultra and Vera Rubin ramps staying on schedule, hyperscaler capex commitments remaining intact, and Q2 revenue landing at or above the guided $91 billion.
