Nvidia, the leading designer of graphics chips, is set to report its Q2 earnings after market hours on Wednesday. The company has a history of exceeding Wall Street's expectations, and this quarter is no exception. Analysts are expecting Nvidia's revenue to grow by 97.6% year-over-year, improving from last year's 55.6% increase.

In the same period last year, Nvidia reported revenues of $81.62 billion, up 85.2% year-over-year. The company has a strong track record of beating analysts' expectations, and its revenue guidance for next quarter has already exceeded estimates.

Nvidia's peers in the processors and graphics chips segment have also reported their Q2 results, with Intel delivering year-on-year revenue growth of 25.4%, beating analyst estimates by 11.7%. Lattice Semiconductor reported revenues up 62.2%, topping estimates by 8.6%.
