NVIDIA Shares Sold as Strong Fiscal Q2 Results Overwhelm Market
NVIDIA Corporation's (NVDA) shares were sold by First Merchants Corp in the second quarter, according to the company's most recent 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The institutional investor trimmed its position by 4.1% during this period, selling a total of 6,896 shares.
First Merchants Corp now owns 162,711 shares of NVDA's stock after the sale, making up 1.1% of its portfolio, and making it the company's 22nd largest holding. The value of these holdings is approximately $32,557,000.
NVIDIA reported a strong fiscal Q2 with revenue reaching $96.2 billion, exceeding Wall Street expectations by a significant margin. Adjusted EPS was also higher than consensus at $2.22, while data-center revenue rose 117% year over year to $89 billion. These results reinforce the robust demand for hyperscaler AI spending.
Management has guided towards roughly $108 billion in fiscal Q3 revenue and indicated that sales could grow about 70% in fiscal 2028, far exceeding analyst expectations of around 45%. This forecast shift the debate from whether AI demand is slowing to whether NVIDIA and its suppliers can build enough capacity. Several analysts have raised their price targets following these results.
