Nvidia previously stated that the Shield TV went out of stock earlier this year due to high demand, but did not confirm whether it had been discontinued. The company also said that the Shield TV Pro 'remains available' as an alternative to the Shield TV.
However, with both devices now out of stock and no indication of when or if they will be restocked, some are speculating that Nvidia may be phasing out the Shield TV line in favor of more AI-focused products. The company's senior VP of hardware engineering, Andrew Bell, stated earlier this year that 'We talk about it all the time -- I'd love to' develop new Shield TV concepts.
