Nvidia Smooth Motion Lands on RTX 3000 Series GPUs via Mod
Nvidia's Smooth Motion feature has been unofficially implemented on RTX 3000 series GPUs, allowing for frame generation in games without official support.
A new mod called NVSmooth30 has made it possible to use this feature on Ampere GPU hardware, including the RTX 3050 laptop and RTX 3080 desktop GPU.
The mod works by modifying Nvidia's driver-level frame generation DLL file and bypassing compatibility checks.
This comes as a relief for gamers who want new features but cannot afford to upgrade their GPUs due to the current component price crisis.
