Nvidia Snaps Up Sunnyvale Building for Triple Its Previous Price
Nvidia's Sunnyvale presence just got a significant boost as the tech giant leases an office and research building in the area. The $99.6 million sale of the 134,200-square-foot building at 350 Cobalt Way is a far cry from its previous price tag of $31 million set by PSAI Realty Partners in January 2023.
The building was initially sold to PSAI Realty Partners by Fujitsu after it disclosed that its lease would expire in September 2023. However, Nvidia swooped in and leased the entire property through August 2036, cementing its presence in the area.
The building has undergone renovations and is being upgraded for potential data center capabilities, with a power capacity of 10 megawatts. This makes it one of Nvidia's few research and development labs with data center facilities, operating as mission-critical infrastructure.
