Cathie Wood and her investment firm ARK Invest made significant moves in their holdings of Nvidia NVDA and Advanced Micro Devices AMD. They acquired 329,539 Nvidia shares valued at approximately $78.8 million and sold 172,541 AMD shares.

The move follows a sharp divergence in the stock performances of these two companies this year. While Nvidia has risen about 22%, AMD has advanced by an impressive 184%.

Nvidia's upcoming Vera Rubin platform is entering customer deployments, with AWS planning to deploy more than 2 million Blackwell Ultra, Rubin and Rubin Ultra GPUs during 2027 and 2028.

The company also recently expanded its buyback authorization and is pursuing a deal for Hugging Face. Meanwhile, AMD continues to build its AI business through the Helios platform and an agreement with Anthropic for up to 2 gigawatts of MI450-series GPUs.
