Nvidia Statistics Overlay Adds Crucial Metrics for GeForce Owners
Nvidia has rolled out an update to its statistics overlay, adding crucial metrics for GeForce owners. As of version 11.0.9, users can now monitor CPU temperature, a key measurement for troubleshooting and general peace-of-mind. Previously, GPU owners would have had to rely on third-party apps or other tools to check their CPU temps.
The update also includes processor clock speeds and power consumption metrics, giving users a more comprehensive view of system performance. To access the new features, enable the Nvidia overlay in settings, then press Alt + Z to open it. From there, select the Custom view and toggle on the desired metrics using Alt + R or by clicking at the top of the screen.
While the update is a welcome addition, some users may still find it lacking. Currently, it does not include VRAM and RAM usage statistics, which are two key areas where Nvidia's overlay falls short compared to third-party tools like RTSS.
