Nvidia Stock Flat Despite CEO's High-Profile Dinner Appearance
Nvidia's stock remained flat on Friday despite its CEO Jensen Huang attending a White House state dinner for Chinese leader Xi Jinping. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied 478.64 points to 51,828.62, but Nvidia's shares barely budged.
The summit between Trump and Xi ended with limited policy outcomes and no immediate tariff escalation. The US Trade Representative said details of agreements on agricultural products and medical devices would be released on Monday.
Nvidia has long been sensitive to China due to US export restrictions on advanced AI chips, which limit what the company can sell in the Chinese market. Nothing announced so far addressed this directly.
