Nvidia Stock Soars on Record Revenue and AI Growth
Nvidia's (NVDA) stock surged 8.3% in the afternoon session after the company released its second-quarter financial results, which exceeded Wall Street expectations.
The chipmaker reported revenue of $96.22 billion for the quarter, a 106% year-over-year increase, and adjusted earnings per share of $2.22, both of which surpassed consensus estimates.
Growth was driven by strong demand in Data Center sales, which increased 18% sequentially to reach $89.0 billion.
Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that the rapid adoption of AI models is fueling massive infrastructure investments, driving growth not just from traditional hyperscalers but also from enterprise and sovereign customers.
