Nvidia shares rose 1% overnight as CEO Jensen Huang touted his company's AI chips as 'productive, revenue-generating assets'.

Huang pointed out that Nvidia GPUs are being rented at a rate of $3.28 an hour, with prices climbing 22% over the past month for three-year-old H100 chips.

This is in contrast to traditional depreciation schedules, which would assume old hardware loses value over time.

Nvidia's compute infrastructure is seen as 'fungible, durable and highly rentable', according to Huang.
