Nvidia Unveils $4,999 DGX Spark Desktop Machine with 64GB Memory
Nvidia has released a new model of its DGX Spark desktop machine, featuring 64GB of memory and priced at $4,999. The device is set to be available exclusively from manufacturer partners, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, and MSI, starting October 23.
The 64GB configuration keeps the same GB10 Grace Hopper Superchip as the 128GB model, as well as the DGX OS and Nvidia AI software stack. However, it has half the memory of its pricier counterpart, which limits its performance capabilities.
Nvidia claims that two 64GB units can be pooled together to form a cluster with 128GB of shared memory, effectively doubling the model's capacity to up to 200 billion parameters. The company also highlights the benefits of clustering, stating that it delivers twice the memory bandwidth and up to 1.7x performance compared to a single system.
