Nvidia Unveils DSX Ready Qualification Program for AI Data Centers
Nvidia has launched a new qualification program for AI data centers, focusing on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling products. The 'DSX Ready' program brings power systems and liquid-cooling infrastructure under a common qualification framework.
The initial program covers BESS and cooling solutions that meet specific requirements under Nvidia's AI factory reference designs. For BESS, the qualification process focuses on the behavior of the power conversion system at AC terminals, including dynamic active and reactive power response, current limiting, ride-through, islanded operation, and black-start capability.
Nvidia has qualified three initial BESS manufacturers: Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution, and Tesla. The companies' offerings meet Nvidia's requirements for AI factory integration, load buffering, demand response, and operation through grid disturbances.
