NVIDIA Winds Down Windows 10 Support, Sets Stage for Win 11

NVIDIA is gearing up to release its final Game Ready GPU driver for Windows 10 in October of this year, marking the end of support for the operating system. This move comes as Microsoft has already terminated mainstream support for Windows 10, leaving users vulnerable to security risks if they don't upgrade to Extended Security Updates or Windows 11.

NVIDIA initially planned to discontinue driver support on October 14th, 2025, but pushed back the deadline by a year due to user demand. Starting in November, Game Ready Drivers will require Windows 11.

Users can continue running Windows 10 until their specific cutoff date, which ranges from October of next year for Consumer ESU users to January 13th, 2032, for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 branch users. However, NVIDIA is only providing security updates for Windows 10 through October 2029.
