Nvidia's $81.6 Billion Quarter: Data Centers Dominate Revenue
Nvidia's revenue has shifted dramatically in recent years, with data centers accounting for 92% of its sales. In its fiscal first quarter of 2027, Nvidia reported total revenue of $81.6 billion, with data center sales making up a significant portion at $75.2 billion.
The company's reliance on AI spending has raised concerns among investors, who worry about a potential slowdown in infrastructure investment. However, CEO Jensen Huang is optimistic, stating that this is 'just the beginning' of the AI build-out.
Huang believes that the semiconductor industry needs to be between five and 10 times larger than it currently is. He also thinks that Nvidia's revenue concentration, with three direct customers accounting for 54% of its sales, is not a significant issue.
