Nvidia's Chip Sales to Double Next Year, Huang Predicts
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang predicted that his company's chip sales will double next year compared to this year. The forecast marks another indication of continued growth for Nvidia, which recently revealed it expects a 70% increase in fiscal year ending January 2028, reaching approximately $673 billion.
Huang made the statement at a summit with King Charles III in Scotland, where he also discussed AI safety alongside representatives from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and Anthropic. When asked about the reason for Nvidia's projected growth, Huang attributed it to the increasing demand for artificial intelligence across various industries and economies.
Nvidia produces a range of semiconductors beyond graphics processing units (GPUs), including central processors, switch chips, optical networking chips, laptop chips, Jetson chips for robots and cars, and the chip inside Nintendo's Switch 2 gaming console. The company does not disclose total chip sales figures.
