Nvidia's Growth Trumps Price Tag for One Investor

Nvidia's stock price may be intimidating to some investors due to its $212.17 valuation and $5.12 trillion market cap, but one investor sees it as a growth opportunity.

The trailing P/E of 43 is often cited as evidence that the stock is overpriced, but the forward P/E of 24 and a PEG ratio of 0.46 tell a different story.

Nvidia's Q2 FY2027 revenue landed at $96.22 billion, up 105.8% year over year, with Data Center alone at $89.02 billion, up 117%. The company guided Q3 to $108.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, and expects roughly 70% revenue growth in fiscal 2028.

The investor notes that Nvidia's Networking business generated $40.31 billion in a single quarter, up 138%, making it a networking company living inside an accelerator company.

The investor acknowledges the risk of demand shock due to customer concentration among hyperscalers and DSO stretching from 45 to 60 days, but sees this as manageable given the top-five hyperscaler CapEx management pegged at nearly $800 billion in 2026 and $1.3 trillion in 2027.
