Nvidia has released a new Game Ready Driver update, version 616.56, which claims to boost performance across various applications for GeForce RTX 50 graphics cards.

In initial tests, the driver showed significant improvements in benchmarking tools such as 3DMark DirectX Raytracing, where performance increased by over 8% on the GeForce RTX 5080. The update also brought notable gains in other areas like Blender 5.2.0 and Cinebench R26, with increases of 6.1% and 6.7%, respectively.

In real-world gaming tests, however, the performance boost was more modest, with some games showing around 2-2.5% more frames per second. While not revolutionary, this update still offers a welcome improvement for RTX 50 users.
