Nvidia's Taiwanese Revenue Surges 206% to $27 Billion
Nvidia's Taiwanese revenue surged to $27 billion in the latest quarter, a 206% increase from last year.
The majority of this revenue is driven by data center demand, with Taiwan playing a key manufacturing role. However, it's essential to note that the location of billing doesn't necessarily reflect where the actual demand is coming from or where the equipment will ultimately operate.
Nvidia invoices its direct customers, which include distributors, server builders, cloud providers, and system integrators. These companies might be headquartered in one country but have products assembled, shipped, or used somewhere else. As Nvidia notes, the location of the buyer doesn't necessarily tell you where the hardware ends up.
The company's CEO, Jensen Huang, mentioned that AI has reached an 'inflection point,' driving demand even higher. Looking ahead, Nvidia forecasted revenue of around $108 billion for the upcoming quarter, excluding Chinese data center compute sales due to ongoing trade uncertainties.
