NY Woman Accused of Plotting ISIS-Style Bombing at State Capitol
A New York woman is accused of planning to bomb the state Capitol in Albany after law enforcement tracked her for five weeks prior to her arrest.
Jessica Bowie, a 35-year-old from Albany, allegedly used materials bought at Home Depot and planned to place the bomb in a DoorDash food delivery bag.
Bowie had cased the Capitol building for weeks, taking photos from various vantage points, according to a criminal complaint.
She converted to Islam five years ago and was 'radicalized online,' according to First Assistant US Attorney John A. Sarcone III.
