US Stocks Rebound as Bond Turbulence Subsides, Bitcoin Surges
The US stock market ended the week on a positive note, rebounding from turbulent bond markets. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1% to close at 53,277, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite added 0.4% each, reaching 7,674 and 26,180 respectively.
Despite the gains, all three major indexes closed lower for the week due to concerns over interest rates and bond market volatility. Bitcoin provided a bright spot, surging 22% in its strongest weekly gain since November 2024.
Nvidia Corp is set to report earnings next Wednesday, with investors watching for any clues on interest rate paths. The Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole summit will also be closely monitored for guidance on monetary policy.
