Obsidian Security Hits $1.1B Valuation with $85M Funding Round
Obsidian Security has secured $85 million in funding at a valuation of $1.1 billion, as businesses increasingly rely on AI agents to access sensitive data.
The Series D funding round was led by Crescent Cove Advisors and also saw participation from existing investors Greylock Partners and Menlo Ventures.
The company's CEO, Hasan Imam, said that nearly 70% of their customers are already allowing AI agents to interact with business data. He predicted a significant disruption in the agentic economy within six to twelve months due to cheaper proprietary and open-source models gaining widespread adoption.
Obsidian Security will use the funding to expand its platform, which monitors and governs AI agents operating across third-party applications such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Salesforce Agentforce.
