Ohio Companies Receiving Millions in Tariff Refunds
Major companies in Ohio are receiving millions of dollars in tariff refunds after the US Supreme Court overturned President Donald Trump's emergency tariffs. The refunds, which began rolling out over the past few months, total hundreds of millions of dollars for several prominent companies.
Goodyear, a tire and blimp manufacturer, received $42 million in the second quarter of this year, while Parker Hannifin has already received $84 million and is awaiting more. Procter & Gamble estimates it may receive up to $200 million in refunds, although none have yet been booked or received.
However, not all companies are committing to distributing these funds back to their customers. While Cardinal Health has stated that some of its refund will go back to customers who paid increased prices due to the tariffs, others remain silent on this point.
