US Stocks Rise Amid Sector Gains, But Not All Shares Benefit
US equities closed higher on Tuesday as gains in the Dow Jones Technology, Basic Materials, and Health Care sectors led shares upward.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.30%, with Merck & Company Inc leading the charge at 3.84% or $5.79 to trade at an all-time high of $156.45.
NVIDIA Corporation also saw a significant gain, up 2.17% or $4.52 to close at $213.00 in late trading.
On the other hand, Nike Inc fell 3.12% or $1.27 to trade at $39.48, while McDonald's Corporation declined 1.63% or $4.44 to end at $268.10.
