Ohio State University and Google Cloud Team Up on AI Research and Education

The Ohio State University and Google Cloud have partnered to advance artificial intelligence research and education. The collaboration will establish an on-campus AI space in the Innovation District, featuring collaborations with Google DeepMind.

The partnership includes access to Google's Gemini Enterprise and Gemini Notebook across campus. This move aims to increase technology access for students, faculty, and staff through Google for Education. Select individuals will gain access to Google Workspace for Education and Gemini Enterprise.

A 24/7 virtual assistant powered by Google Cloud's AI will be launched, providing a streamlined experience for every student. The student concierge will enhance academic advising, registrar services, and career pathway planning. A research ambassador program will recruit Ohio State students to work alongside Google teams, gaining hands-on industry experience.

Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector, stated that this partnership is 'one of our largest and most comprehensive education partnerships to date.' The collaboration aims to put unparalleled computing power and scientific models into the hands of Ohio State's world-class faculty and researchers.
