Ohio State University Teams Up with Google for Artificial Intelligence Space
The Ohio State University has partnered with Google to establish a dedicated artificial intelligence space at its Innovation District. This collaboration will provide university researchers, students, and faculty with direct access to over 200 AI models, AI-optimized supercomputing systems, and advanced technology from Google DeepMind.
The partnership aims to accelerate scientific discovery, expand technology access across the campus, support AI fluency, and assist students from admission to graduation and beyond. Undergraduates and graduates will benefit from personalized AI assistants, advanced career pathway tools, and unique experiential learning opportunities.
University leaders stress the importance of embracing AI technology, citing its potential to create new jobs in addition to concerns about automation. President Ravi Bellamkonda noted that the university intends to be 'nimble' and part of the new economy.
