Ontario Recalls: Choking Hazard Children’s Book and Frozen Desserts Pulled from Shelves

Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) have issued new recall notices for various products sold in Ontario, including a children's book and frozen desserts. The 'Make Believe Ideas Groovy Baby ‘I Spy a Fly!’' children’s board book has been recalled due to a choking hazard, with 1,247 units sold in Canada through Amazon and Indigo from March 2025 to June 2026.

Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the book and contact Make Believe Ideas for a refund. The recall also includes frozen desserts sold at several major retailers, including Sobeys, FreshCo, Foodland, IGA, and more.

The affected products were sold through various channels, including Amazon and Indigo, with some units also being recalled from stores. Consumers are urged to check their purchases and return any recalled items for a refund.
